From the mouth of the babes........

A couple of kids quotes that have stuck in my brain the past few days.....

"Apparently you have a lot of baby pictures of me.....you must like them" -Avery

"Thomas all the kid dinosaurs had to eat all the food their mothers gave them so you need to eat everything mom gives you" -Avery

"Mom can I come to your next marriage?"....."How come I wasn't there?" After my explanation...."but I didn't want to be in heaven when you got married" -Thomas

"Dad we have to read our scriptures before I go to bed"...."Will we read about Optimus Prime sometime in the Book of Mormon?" -Thomas

Brynnley is starting to talk more and babbles a ton. It's like she is speaking really fast Chinese(I guess Chinese would sound fast to me even if they were speaking slow?) Anyways lately every night we sing "I am a child of God" and then say a prayer and she bursts out saying "Jesus" and has to give his picture I have framed in her room a kiss. This little girl melts my heart. Her little angelic face melts me even when she has gotten all the magazines out, emptied out drawers, and tossed the laundry all over the house. Maybe I have a little more patience with #3 but she is precious.

Tonight we played duck duck goose after FHE and I am still dizzy after multiple times of running in a circle of 4 people. Brynnley just thought we were chasing her around and would squeal. Thomas kept on touching Eric to be the goose. I guess maybe we might be starting to get old if we both get dizzy running in a circle a few times. How is that possible? How did I creep into my 30's? I use to think 30 year old's were OLD. Now that is me. I will always be young and hopefully my body will keep up with me for awhile! I am glad I still have energy for these kids. They have a lot of it. While I do have it.....well I guess we will be able to play duck duck goose! And I will have one happy 5 year old girl.

Life is good. I love my kids so much and am trying to not let the daily hustle bustle of life take away from playing, reading, watching, and laughing with them. I know they grow up fast. I sometimes want to freeze this time. I try to look at life through their eyes and enjoy life a bit more. It 's hard sometimes as 3 kids can keep me busy and keeping up the house, dinner, all that Mom stuff but I hope they always know how much I love them through my actions, not just by my words. I am grateful to be a Mother. I am grateful God has blessed me to raise his children. They truly are his and he has entrusted me to bring them back to him again. It makes it a lot easier having the gospel in my life. Being a Mormon is the biggest blessing in my life. I will be able to teach my children with confidence of who they are, why they are here, and the purpose of this life and their great role in it. I am grateful that through the teachings of the church, I can already teach them morals and standards young so they can avoid some of the many hardships many have to go through because of their decisions. I am grateful for the primary and youth programs in the church that will also be a big part of their life. They already come home after church happily singing the new songs they learned and they love to tell us all the things their teachers taught them. My kids will need all the positive influences in life that they can get. I pray they will have a great childhood with awesome leaders like I did.

It's been over a month!!!

I was on such a roll updating the blog but then we moved and other things took it's place. I am back in full force!

We made it to Cincinnati, OH and we are all settled in. We are loving it here. The kids are adapted and have already made friends. We can't say anything bad about it other than it is HOT. It is very green here with more trees than I have ever seen. Whenever I do errands I cross the Ohio river which is surrounded by trees. The kids keep asking why we are driving through the forest. I am pleasantly surprised there aren't more bugs. Since they are my enemy I am happy about that. And NO mosquitoes!!! YAY! I hate those things.

It's hard to believe that Avery will start Kindergarten here and Thomas will be in 4K. They are excited to meet new friends. I am amazed with how quickly they have adapted even though they of course miss their Madison friends.

Eric starts fellowship on Monday. It is a great group of people that he will be working with. They took us to a nice steakhouse(YUM....with the most amazing mac n cheese I have ever had and I don;t like mac n cheese)and they were all so friendly and welcoming. They have given us a pass to the zoo and amusement park/water park and the kids love it. I am brave enough to take the kids alone when Eric is working in the day. OF course Eric and I can't wait to have date nights there and do the all the BIG ride without the kids.

So far things we love Greater's ice cream. The best I've tasted. We love their traditional Chili. It's like nothing I have had before and I have already tried recipes so I can make it once we leave. We love our neighbors. The kids are outside playing with the neighbor kids everyday. I love the full trees and rolling hills. It is a beautiful state and we are happy we get to live here for a year.

The kids with some of their friends at their Lemonade/cookie stand. They were so cute trying to get people to buy some with signs they made from the previous day. Who couldn't resist supporting these adorable kids. They had a successful day and Avery finally got to have her lemonade stand.
